After Mussoorie, Kempty Falls is one of the plausible tourist destinations, attracting a number of people. Located just 10 km from Mussoorie bus stand and 45 km from Dehradun, this place is easily accessible by road. People enjoy bathing in its spine chilling cold water to get respite from the scorching summer heat. During the peak season (usually summers), thousands of people visit this place, and to accommodate such large numbers, there are enough hotels and homestays.

After enjoying a refreshing bath, visitors can also indulge in some adventurous activities like zip lining. Nested amidst lush green mountains, this place offers a scenic view, with a water cascade falling from a height of 40 feet, and performing several backflips it divides into five smaller cascades. The amalgamation of nature and the sound of cascading water creates a feeling that won't be experienced easily anywhere else.

The place got its name in 1835 when British officers frequented the area for camp-tea party, hence the place got its name Kempty Falls. Since then, it has remained a favorite spot for day outings and has become a must visit destination for tourists.
