Gun Hill

Among the various tourist attractions in Mussoorie, Gun Hill is a highly underrated spot. Located just 1.5 km from Mussoorie Library Chowk, this place is said to be one of the highest peaks of Mussoorie. Located 400 feet above the road, it is just a 20 minute walk away from the mall road. If you want to enjoy the scenic beauty of Doon valley and Mussoorie then, a cable car ride would be a great choice. Gun Hill has two different theories for its name. As per the people, locals brought a cannon to the top of the hill to fire at the Britishers. Another theory suggests that the Britishers fired a shot daily at noon, so that locals would know the time.
