Shikhar Fall, one of the famous picnic spots in Dehradun, is located on Old Mussoorie Road. Situated just 13 km from Clocktower, this place is frequented by many people. However, to reach the location visitors need to trek one km through a narrow road, which might not be easy for children and elderly people. Height of the cascading waterfall is not so high, but its crystal clear water is so cold that one can enjoy bathing underneath it.

However, the area is strewn with a lot of trash, and the bushes surrounding the area reduces its charm. Due to its proximity to the city, it attracts a multitude of visitors making the place overcrowded. Additionally, you can also spot a number of people drinking alcohol near the site which makes it unpleasant for anyone.
