Forest Research Institute (FRI)

Spread over 4.5 acres with a backdrop of himalayan and lush greenery, the Forest Research of India is located in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. It was located just 10 km from Dehradun ISBT and 3.7 km from its railway station. Established way back in 1906, it is the oldest university of its kind. This University attracts students and professors from far and wide. The UGC granted it the status of deemed university in 1991. Its main building is constructed in Greek-Roman style, which is the center of attraction among the visitors. Within its premises, one can find trees and plants of different species. Additionally, there are six different museums housed in the building, offering a unique learning experience.
