Tiger Fall is located in Chakrata, approximately 105 km from Dehradun. In the local language, it is known as Kailu Pachhad. Being one of the tallest waterfalls in India, Tiger Falls is famous for its 312 feet direct white waterfall. The sound emanating from this waterfall after hitting the ground resembles the roar of a tiger, hence its name, Tiger Fall. In addition to the waterfall, visitors may also get to see a water powered mill, called Gharat in layman language. Entry to Tiger Falls, required a fee of Rs 30 along with a parking fee of Rs 20. Since the area is not fully developed and remains untouched by commercialization, visitors may encounter some challenges.

Located 105 km from Dehradun, Tiger Fall can be accessed via road. To do so, they have to book a taxi, which is readily available from Dehradun’s ISBT, Railway Station, and Airport. The nearest airport and railway station are located in Dehradun, which are 132 and 105 km respectively.
