Naina Peak
About
Naina Peak is the highest point and one of the major tourist attractions in Nainital. The Naina Peak viewpoint provides a breathtaking panoramic view of the snow-clad Himalayan range and the sparkling Naini Lake.

With its picturesque and serene beauty, it attracts tourists from far and wide. It is probably the best place to witness the Himalaya peaks and the stunning landscape of Nainital.
The peak can be reached by local transportation up to the entrance gate, followed by a 3.5 km short trek. The trail is easy and can be climbed by anyone. During the trail, visitors can sight various indigenous Himalayan birds. It is surrounded by oak, pine and Rhododendron trees, which add a unique charm to the peak, particularly when viewed from the top.
The best time to visit the Naina Peak viewpoint is in the morning, as by the afternoon, Naini Lake and the surrounding area are often covered with clouds, which may affect visibility and hamper your overall experience.
