Pavasik Mahashu

One of the four Mahasu, Pabasik Maharaj Ji temple is situated in Hanol, approximately 173 km from Dehradun. Visitors may access this holy shrine by road through bus and taxi services readily available from Dehradun and Vikasnagar. Temple is beautifully hand crafted from Cedar wood, generously donated by the villagers. Not only locals but also others have a strong belief in Mahasu Maharaj, which draws devotees from distant places to seek blessings. Nestled amidst lush green mountains, this temple offers a panoramic beautiful view. Mahasu is considered to be a group of four brothers—Bashik, Pabasik, Chalda, and Botha, whose temples are prominently located in Maindrath, Hanol, and in Bisoi. Mahasu maharaj ji Jagda, falls in the month of Bhadon is celebrated fervently by the locals with great enthusiasm. During the Jagda, a fair organized by the government, recognised as a state fair where locals adorned traditional attire, symbolized their deep-rooted reverence.
