Shri Sidhbali Baba Temple is situated in Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal. Dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the temple is situated on the banks of Khoh river. Surrounded by mountains and Khoh river temple offers a vivid view of nature. Located on the outskirts of the main city, the temple is one of the popular destinations in Kotdwar, attracting a multitude of devotees. Visitors can access the temple by using bus, taxi and cab services that are available from Dehradun and Haridwar.

Upon reaching the temple, devotees need to take stairs to reach the sanctum sanctorum. Temple houses a large idol of Lord Hanuman along with idols of other deities. Within the temple premises, pilgrims can also seek blessings of Shani Dev. Upon fulfilling the wishes, devotees usually organized a big feast (bhandara) on Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday. On the other hand, on auspicious occasions like Hanuman Jayanti, the temple committee organizes a fair and bhandara, which attracts many people from afar.

As per the legend it is said that, the temple is the place of penance of revered Guru Gorakhnath ji. Before the installation of Baba’s idol, Sidh Pindis were placed at the temple site. People have a deep faith in baba and visit the shrine whenever they face difficulty and losing hope in their life.

How to Reach

Located approximately 75 km from Haridwar, Sidhbali Dham is situated in Kotdwar, Uttarakhand. Connected well by the motorable road, visitors can access the temple easily using buses, shared taxis, and cabs, which are readily available from Haridwar and Dehradun bus stands. Those traveling by state transport bus or shared taxi will need to hire an auto or e-rickshaw from Kotdwar bus stand to reach the temple. The major railway station, connecting with the major rail routes of the country, is in Haridwar, around 75 km away. The nearest airport is in Dehradun, about 107 km away.

Best Time to Visit

The temple remains open to the visitors throughout the year, but the ideal time to visit is considered from August to February. Due to the hot and humid conditions of Kotdwar, it can be difficult for visitors to bear the summer temperatures. Although the road that connects to the temple is well maintained, you still need to exercise caution if visiting during monsoon.
