Shri Premnagar Ashram, Haridwar
Located on Haridwar's Jwalapur Road, the Premnagar Ashram is visited by many throughout the year. Every Sunday, the ashram organises a satsang in its "Mansarovar Hall", which can accommodate around 2000 people at a time. To cater to such a large spiritual gathering, they have constructed 3000 washrooms, which is one of the largest such facilities at a spiritual site. The ashram also comprises multiple gardens that house nearly 250 varieties of flowers.
Its serene and calm ambience makes it an ideal place for meditation. Many sages and saints practice meditation here, which is why the Premnagar Ashram is revered as a centre of spiritual knowledge, where a master imparts knowledge to their disciples. As soon as you enter the ashram, you can feel the aura of peace and positivity in every corner. For the convenience of visitors, the ashram has also constructed bathing ghats.
Foundation Story
It is believed that two natural enemies, the snake and mongoose, played a role in the foundation of the ashram. It is said that, when Maharaj was looking for a suitable location for the ashram, he came across a pond where a snake and a mongoose were living peacefully together. This rare sight inspired him to start the ashram here, which is now revered as Shri Premnagar Ashram.
Social Activities
Apart from spirituality, the ashram is also involved in several social activities, including tree plantation, distribution of clothes, providing education, and free medicine to the needy. It also organises health check-ups and blood donation camps regularly. Additionally, a large community feast (bhandara) is organised for devotees and visitors of the ashram.
