Rishikund, an ancient pond, is located in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand, within the premises of the Raghunath Temple. Owing to its mythological beliefs and deep religious significance, the pond attracts a large number of pilgrims every year. It is believed that Rishikund was built by the great saint Kubz and was used for bathing by Lord Rama. It is believed that the pond water is graced by the Goddess Yamuna and is filled with her sacred water. Some folklore suggests that the holy Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati Rivers are supposed to converge here.
