Raghunath Temple

Raghunath Temple is one of the most revered religious sites in Rishikesh. Dedicated to Lord Rama, the temple is situated adjacent to the sacred Triveni Ghat. Various pilgrims during their Rishikesh tour often visit this temple to seek the blessings of Raghu Nandan. Built in a traditional architectural style, the temple is enshrined with idols of Lord Rama, Sita, Laxman, and Hanuman. Raghunath Temple generally opens around 6:00 AM and closes around 7:00 PM post the divine Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat. However, temple timings may vary as per the season and local conditions.
 

Evening is considered the busiest time of the day, as most pilgrims first attend the evening Maha Aarti at Triveni Ghat, and then proceed to the temple.
 

Ample parking space is available near the Raghunath Temple. However, during weekends and on special occasions, the site often causes congestion both on the road and within the temple.

Inside the Shrine

The architectural style of the temple is a beautiful blend of North and South Indian styles. As soon as you enter the shrine, devotees are greeted with the magnificent idol of Lord Rama. The temple mandapa consists of 16 pillars, with each depicting tales of Gods and Goddesses. Its dome-shaped ceiling features a mural of Lord Vishnu resting on a serpent, which looks so majestic.
