Among the prominent ghat of Haridwar such as Har Ki Pauri, Vishnu Ghat, and Kusha Ghat, one that has its own significance is "Nai Ghat". As its name suggests, this ghat is primarily used for mundan ceremony, which is why it is also known as "Mundan Sanksar Ghat". Situated in the heart of the city, Nai ghat is easily accessed by road through local transportation services.
 

Although, there are other places in India which are famous for Mundan Ceremony, such as Tirupati Balaji, Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu, Dwarika Dham in Gujarat, and Gaya Ji in Bihar, among them, Haridwar's Nai Ghat is quite popular.
