Jageshwar Dham, a prominent Hindu Pilgrimage is located in Almora, Uttarakhand. A site dedicated to lord Shiva, but it also houses around 125 ancient Hindu temples and 174 sculptures and these clusters of temples are known as ‘Jageshwar temple valley’. How to Reach

Located around 35 km from Almora, it is situated in Kumaun, Uttarakhand. To access the temple, bus and taxi services are readily available from Almora and other prominent bus stands. Train and air services are also available to reach the temple but are limited. The nearest railway station is in Kathgodam, approximately 130 km away, and the airport is in Pantnagar, around 127 km away.

Best Time to Visit

Devotees can visit the temple round the year, but the most preferable times are from April to June and September to December. The fair organized during Shivratri and the Jageshwar monsoon festival held in August are some of the most suitable times, attracting many from far and wide. It is advisable to avoid visiting during monsoon season and peak summer months, as tourists may encounter various difficulties.
