How to Reach

By Road : - The temple is located around 50 km from Dehradun ISBT and is connected by road. While the initial road conditions are good, the last 15 to 20 kms are in tattered conditions. Driving on gravel roads, especially in hilly areas, requires experience. Public transportation facilities are not available to access the site, visitors need to hire a taxi or can travel in their own vehicle. Taxi services can be availed from the major points in Dehradun.
 

By Rail : - The nearest railway station is in Rishikesh, around 30 km away. However, the station offers excellent connectivity to major routes across the country in Dehradun. From the station, visitors need to book a cab or rent a two wheeler to reach the temple.
 

By Air : - The nearest airport is Jolly Grant Airport, which is about 23 km from the location. Visitors need to book a cab to access the location.

Best Time to Visit

Itharna Temple is open for devotees round the year, but the ideal time to visit is from July to March. During peak summers, the conditions are dry, making it difficult to fully experience the surroundings. However, one needs to be extra cautious during peak monsoon season, as the road conditions are poor, which may affect your journey.
