Located in Tehri Garhwal, the Dobra Chanti Bridge is India's longest motorable suspension bridge. Built over the renowned Tehri Lake, this bridge connects Tehri two villages called Dobra and Chanti, hence the bridge earns its name 'Dobra Chanthi Bridge". The bridge spans 725 meters in length and stands 58 meters high.

Since its inauguration in 2020, the bridge is getting attention from travellers visiting Tehri. Resembling the Golden Bridge in the USA, the Dobra Chanti Pul offers a stunning view both during the day and in the evening. Every day, a number of visitors and passersby stop here to take pictures with this engineering marvel.

Laser Light Show

This iconic bridge is situated in Uttarakhand's Tehri Garhwal District, around 82 km from Rishikesh. It connects Tehri with Pratap Nagar and Thauldhar village, providing a route to Sem Mukhem Village, where the Sem Mukhem Nagraja temple is located. The bridge offers a panoramic view of Tehri Lake, and attracts visitors for its scenic beauty.

Apart from the bridge, Visitors can also admire its scenic view from the lake while riding a motorboat or speedboat. It's a peaceful spot to enjoy the serenity and calmness with a cup of tea.

This site can only be added in your itinerary if you are visiting Tehri Lake.
Exercise caution during monsoon, as the roads leading to the site are narrow and prone to landslides.
Stopping vehicles on the bridge is strictly allowed.
Carry sufficient cash, as mobile network in the nearby area is limited, especially if you are an Airtel user.
Fuel stations are scarce in the area, so make sure your vehicle has enough fuel.
No Entry Fee is required to access the bridge.
If you are not planning to stay nearby, it is advisable for two wheeler to leave the site before sunset, as navigating in the dark can be challenging.

By Road : - Dobra Chanthi Bridge is located in Tehri Garhwal, around 112 km from Dehradun (via Rishikesh-Chamba-Tehri Road) and 82 km from Rishikesh. It can be reached by GMOU and UTC buses, shared taxis, private taxis, and two wheelers. Buses are available from bus stands in Dehradun, Chamba, and Rishikesh. Shared taxis are available from Rispana taxi stand (Dehradun), Rishikesh, and Chamba. You can also hire a taxi and rent a two wheeler to access the place.

By Rail : - Its nearest railway station is Yog Nagri Rishikesh Railway Station, around 83 km away. You can book a taxi directly from the station or take a bus and shared taxi service from Rishikesh Bus Stand, located just 2 km away from the station.

By Air : - The nearest airport is Dehradun Jolly Grant Airport, about 89 km away. Visitors will get taxi facility from the airport or you can travel to Rishikesh and hire a taxi or take bus service.
