Surrounded with lush green meadows and snow capped mountains, Chopta is located in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. Its enchanting and panoramic beauty is so awe-struck and mind blowing, that it is widely renowned as ‘Mini Switzerland’. It's a heaven for bird watchers, where they can see around 240 species of birds. Being the epicenter of the renowned Chandrashila and Tungnath treks, Chopta is a hotspot among trekkers.

Chopta is also surrounded by Shiva's most revered pilgrims circuit, Panch Kedar, where tourists can find Kedarnath and Madmaheshwar to its left and Rudranath and Kalpeshwar on its right, with the highest Shiva temple, Tungnath, at the top.
