Badrinath Dham Opening Date 23 April 2026

Badrinath Temple in Uttarakhand is the last temple of the Char Dham Yatra circuit. Every year, lakhs of devotees visit this sacred shrine to seek the blessings of Lord Badri Vishal. Located in the Chamoli district, the temple remains open to devotees for six months each year, i.e. from May to November. In 2026, the Badrinath Temple Opening date has not announced yet, but it is likely to be open in May 2026. Last year, the portal of Badrinath Dham opened on May 4, 2025.

Due to heavy snowfall and severe weather conditions, the temple becomes inaccessible during the winter months. As a result, the Badrinath Dham Temple remains closed for the next six months. During this period, the deity is worshipped at its winter seat, which is the Narsingh Temple in Joshimath. Every year, thousands of pilgrims from across the world visit Badrinath Dham during its opening and closing ceremonies.
