Vasantotsav Dehradun 2026

Lok Bhavan is all set to host Vasantotsav 2026, an annual event usually held in February to celebrate the arrival of the spring season. In 2026, the event will take place from 27 February to 1 March 2026. During the event, a wide range of flowers will be exhibited to promote floriculture in Uttarakhand. Every year, a large number of people gather here to learn about flower species, gardening and cultivation practices. Like the previous year, the event will be organised in Raj Bhavan (also called Lok Bhavan), Dehradun.

Vasantotsav- A Celebration of Flowers

Although the event is known for its many activities, the foremost attraction is the grand flower exhibition. It attracts gardeners, plant enthusiasts, farmers, and others across the state. However, Vasantotsav is not restricted to flowers, as it showcases local products, traditional crafts, and unique food items from Uttarakhand. The event will provide an excellent platform for local entrepreneurs, artisans, women's self-help groups, and others to showcase and promote their products. 
 

This year, the festival will host 15 competitions across 55 sub-categories, with 165 prizes to be distributed on the final day, i.e. 1 March 2026. Soil-less farming will be the major highlight of the event, including hydroponic cultivation techniques.
 

For the first time, Vasantotsav will also feature a live demonstration of yoga, judo, and martial arts. Of these, the Yoga sessions will be demonstrated by NIM (Nehru Institute of Mountaineering), Uttarkashi and Niramaya Yoggram, Haridwar.

Cultural Events in Vasantotsav Dehradun

Along with this, Vasantotsav Dehradun will also feature a variety of cultural programmes and family activities. In this, the artists will perform traditional folk music and dances of Uttarakhand.
 

Vasantotsav is an event where young children aged between 5 and 18 years can showcase their talent by participating in painting and art displays. Everyone can participate, including orphanages, people with disabilities, and ragpickers.

Governor's Special Award

The officials have announced that, from this year, the Governor's Special Award will be conferred upon progressive farmers, self-help group women, and youth startups. Individuals and institutions doing exemplary work in the field of floriculture will be honoured under the given categories.

Food Courts

Several food courts based on a traditional millet theme will be the major key attractions of Vasantotsav 2026. A special emphasis will be laid on promoting honey through these stalls.

Vasantotsav Dehradun Entry Fee

Entry to Vasantotsav at Lok Bhavan, Dehradun, is completely free. Visitors are not required to pay any charge.

Vasantotsav Schedule 2026

Raj Bhavan Flower Show 2026 will be a three-day event which begins on 27 February 2026. Since the first day will be the inaugural day, entry for visitors will be allowed after 1 PM.

How to Reach Vasantotsav Dehradun?

Vasantotsav will be organised in Lok Bhavan, Dehradun. Being located within the city, Lok Bhavan is easily accessible from across the city.
 

Raj Bhavan, Dehradun, is around 5 km from Clocktower, Dehradun. Visitors can take shared local transport from near the Parade Ground. Also, they can book an auto or app-based bike or taxi to reach the site.
 

Visitors can also reach the site using their personal vehicle, which they can park in the designated area.

Parking facility

A dedicated parking facility will be provided to visitors, where they can park their vehicles conveniently. The parking facility will be available at

Shuttle services will also be provided to visitors from the drop-off points or parking areas.
