Patna Waterfall

Patna Waterfall is one of the popular tourist attractions in Rishikesh, known for its beautiful white cascading stream. Located along the Neelkanth Temple route, this hidden waterfall in Rishikesh attracts both tourists and locals. Named after a nearby "Patna Village", this waterfall is also famous for its natural limestone caves. Situated just 5 km away from Bajrang Setu (newly built glass bridge), the waterfall is easily accessible. However, visitors need to trek approximately 1 km from the main road to reach the site.

Patna Waterfall, Rishikesh

Rishikesh, often referred to as the "Yoga Capital of the World," is renowned for its spiritual and religious significance. Patna Waterfall is situated around 10 km from the main city on the Neelkanth Temple route and is not completely accessible by motor vehicle.

Trek to the Waterfall

The main waterfall is located about 1 km away from the main road and requires a trek, whose trail is scenic and moderately challenging. After Neer Garh Waterfall and Garud Chatti Waterfall, Patna Waterfall is considered the third and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Rishikesh.
 

Unlike the other two waterfalls, this waterfall doesn't offer swimming facilities. However, visitors can enjoy a refreshing shower while standing beneath the waterfall. Compared to Neer Jharna, the height of Patna Waterfall is taller in height. As the water cascades through the rocky layers of the mountain, it creates a mesmerising view, and misty particles instantly refresh visitors.

Patna Waterfall Trekking

Patna Waterfall trekking distance is approximately one-kilometre. The initial stretch of the trail is relatively easy, but the last 600 metres will definitely test your physical endurance. A natural stream flowing down from the top of the mountains accompanies visitors throughout the route, making the journey pleasant.
 

During the monsoon season, the heavy rainfall may cause landslides, which generally damage parts of the trekking path. A few tea stalls are available along the route and near the waterfall, where visitors can enjoy Maggi and tea while enjoying the surrounding natural beauty.

Parking facility

Rishikesh, Patna Waterfall doesn't offer a dedicated parking area. Visitors are required to park their vehicle along the roadside at their own risk.
