Rishikesh is known for its various pilgrimage sites, and the Garud Chatti Temple is one of them. Located just 4 km from Laxman Jhula, the temple is dedicated to Garud Dev. Devotees visiting the Neelkanth Mahadev Temple or nearby popular places often stop to seek the blessings of Garud Dev. During the Sawan months, the temple is often surrounded by many devotees.
 

The temple complex houses the idol of Garud Dev along with other deities. Garud Dev, known as the son of sage Kashyap and Vinata, is prominently known as the vaahan (mount) of Lord Vishnu. The shrine is maintained and managed by Swargashram Trust.

Garud Dev Siddh Peeth Mandir, Rishikesh

Situated en route to the Neelkanth Mahadev Mandir, it is Uttarakhand's only temple dedicated to Garud Dev. Located near the Garud Chatti Bridge, the temple is beautifully situated along the roadside. It is believed that devotees suffering from Kaal Sarp Dosh should visit this temple to get rid of it. This belief draws several pilgrims, who come here to perform a Kaal Sarp Dosh pooja. Within the temple premises, there is a pond, filled with colourful fish, which attracts many.

By Road: Located about 9 km from the Rishikesh Bus Stand, the Garud Chatti Temple is located near Neelkanth Bridge. It is easily accessible by car and two-wheelers. Visitors can also book a taxi to reach the temple, as public transport facilities are limited. However, one can board a bus from the bus stand heading towards Mohan Chatti.
 

By Rail: The nearest railway station is Yog Nagri Rishikesh Railway Station, which is approximately 12 km away. You can easily hire a taxi from the station to reach the temple.
 

By Air: The nearest airport is Dehradun's Jolly Grant Airport, located about 27 km. From the airport, visitors can easily book a cab and travel to the destination.

The best time to visit the Garud Chatti Temple is throughout the year. However, one must avoid the Sawan month due to heavy crowds and traffic congestion.
