Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple Haridwar

Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple is another ancient shrine of Lord Shiva, located in Haridwar. The temple lies along the route to Chandi Devi Mandir and is easily accessible via local transportation. Pilgrims can easily locate the Gauri Shankar Mahadev Temple, as it is situated close to the Chandi Devi Ropeway Ticket counter. To reach the temple, pilgrims can hire a taxi, auto, or rickshaw from Chandi Devi Bridge and other major places in Haridwar. The temple complex houses idols of Lord Shiva and his consort. In addition, there is a sacred Shivling where devotees offer water and bel patra, as part of their prayers.
 

During Shivratri, both locals and pilgrims visit the shrine in large numbers to offer water at the Shivling. As Prasad shops are generally unavailable near the temple, it is advisable that pilgrims carry offerings with them.
