How to Reach Bhadraj Temple?

The Bhadraj Temple Trek is rated as easy and is suitable for all, including beginners and children. However, a good physical fitness is important for everyone. The total distance from Dehradun to Bhadraj Temple is around 37 km, including a trek distance of 14 km from Library Chowk. Visitors can also begin their trek from George Everest, Cloud End, or Koti Village near Bhauwala.
 

The trek can be easily completed in a single day if you start early in the morning. Alternatively, you can also set up a tent near the temple for an overnight stay.
 

Here is a detailed two-day itinerary: -

Day 1: Dehradun to Bhadraj Temple

• Take a bus or taxi from Dehradun Hill Bus Stand to Library Chowk. You can also rent a two-wheeler or use your own vehicle.
• The distance from Dehradun to Library Chowk is about 34 km, which takes around 90 minutes to cover.
• Meanwhile, those travelling in their own vehicle can park their vehicle at Library Chowk.
• From Library Chowk, start trekking toward George Everest.
• At Bright Hill Cafe "T" point, take the road towards the Cloud End.
• Cloud end is around 7 km from Library Chowk with an easy trail.
• From Cloud End, the temple is still 6.5 km away.
• Most of the path is well paved, except for the final stretches.
  
• There are various tea shops and food shops along the trail.
• Mobile network connectivity is limited in some regions.
• The last couple of kilometres are steep and require good endurance.
• This steep path is full of pebbles, making it difficult to maintain a good grip.
• Along the trail, you can enjoy the lush green view of the mountains, meadows, and towering trees.
• As the trail is accessible by two and four-wheelers, you may expect encounter along the way.
• On the way, you will get a tent service for a night stay, where you can stay overnight on your return.
• After a tiring yet rewarding journey of 14 km, you will finally arrive at Bhadraj Temple.
• Seek the blessing of Lord Balram and enjoy the serene and calm surroundings.
• Behind the hill, there is a stairway leading to an alternative and shorter distance to reach the temple, starting from the Koti Village.
• However, Koti village does not offer any public transportation, so plan accordingly if you choose this route.
• If you wish to stay overnight near the temple, seek the permission from the temple committee; otherwise, return to Library Chowk via the same route.

Day 2: Return to Dehradun

• If you stayed here overnight, wake up early and prepare a breakfast.
• Trek back to Library Chowk following the same route.
• From there, take a bus or taxi back to Dehradun.

For the Bhadraj Trek, reach the Library Chowk in Mussoorie, which is around 32 km away from the Dehradun Clock Tower. Start from Dehradun and follow one of the given routes to reach Library Chowk.
 

Route 1: Dehradun (Clock Tower) → Rajpur Road → Shiv Mandir → Batta Fall → Mussoorie Lake → Library Chowk → Cloud End → Bhadraj Temple.
 

Route 2: Dehradun (Clock Tower) → Garhi Cantt → Supply Chowk → Kimadi → Kimadi Waterfall → Lambi Dehar Mines → Library Chowk → Cloud End → Bhadraj Temple.
