How to Reach
Located around 45 km from Dehradun ISBT, this place is accessible by road. Set atop Benog Hill, visitors can access it using a two wheeler or car. However, as the roads are not wide enough, caution is required if traveling by car. Two Wheeler rented services are easily available from Dehradun or Mussoorie. To reach the shrine visitors need to trek 3 to 4 km, and they need to buy a ticket from the Mussoorie Forest Division Office, costing Rs 150 per person for Indians and Rs 600 for foreigners. The nearest railway station and airport are in Dehradun, situated approximately 38 and 65 km away, respectively.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to visit the temple is from March to June and September to December. Visitors must be cautious of wild animals, as the temple is situated atop of a hill and falls under the Mussoorie wildlife sanctuary forest division. It is advisable to avoid visiting during rainy and snowfall season as it may cause various problems.
