Mussoorie Winterline Carnival 2025

All folks out there! The much-awaited Mussoorie Winterline Carnival 2025 is finally here. The Dehradun administration has finally announced the dates for the Winterline Carnival 2025. According to the announcement, the 2025 Winterline Carnival will be held from December 24 to 29, 2025.
 

It is the first time the carnival will be organised for six days, instead of the usual five days. Since the carinval start in 2013, the carnival has attracted tourists from across the country, showcasing music, cultural performances, authentic Uttarakhandi cuisine, and a wide range of activities for youth and children.

Mussoorie, popularly known as the "Queen of Hills", attracts tourists from various parts of the country. Every year, lakhs of tourists come here to enjoy the quintessential beauty of this popular hill station. The Mussoorie winter carnival is all set to begin on Christmas Eve, offering visitors a vibrant mix of activities and events. It is expected that around 2 lakh people will visit Mussoorie during this season. Along with the Winter Carnival, it is the time when people visit Mussoorie for Christmas and New Year celebrations, making it one of the busiest tourist seasons of the year.

Mussoorie Route Map for Winter Carnival

The winter vacation times pose a major challenge for the authority due to the narrow, hilly road. However, the authority is ready for the challenge, and for this, they have made adequate arrangements by introducing some diversion points.
 

Traffic coming from the Delhi-Dehradun will be diverted from Shimla Bypass Chowk to GMS Road, passing through Ballupur Chowk, Garhi Cantt. On the other hand, vehicles arriving from Rishikesh will be diverted via Thano and Ring Road, and from there will take the Sahatradhara-Mussoorie Route.

All tourists visiting Mussoorie are required to register online, as tourist registration in Mussoorie is mandatory. Visitors can complete the registration online through Tourirst Care Uttarakhand portal, whose details process can be checked here.

How to reach Mussoorie for the Winter Carnival?

Mussoorie is located nearly 33 km away from the Dehradun Clock Tower and is accessible by bus, taxi and two-wheelers. However, during the Mussoorie Winter Carnival, the road leading to Mussoorie is expected to be jam-packed.
 

Tourists are advised to use bus and mini-bus services offered by the Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, which will drop passengers at the Picture Palace or Library Chowk Bus Stands. Such services are available from Dehradun Hill Bus Stand, located near the Railway Station. 
 

In addition, visitors arriving from their own vehicles will be required to park their vehicles at Kincraig and Gajji Band parking points; from there shuttle service will be provided.
