Adventure lovers will be excited to know that the Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (IISM), Gulmarg, is ready to conduct a water skiing course at Tehri Lake, Uttarakhand. For the first time in the history of Tehri Lake, such kind of event is being organised. The registration for the IISM Gulmarg water skiing course in Tehri Lake will begin on August 25, 2025. Applicants are advised to apply as soon as the registration window opens, as seats are limited. A total of three courses will be held, each with a capacity of 25 students.

Tehri Lake is a renowned hub for various adventure sports, which attract thousands of tourists every year. Along with this, it also hosts the annual Tehri Acro Festival, where adventure enthusiasts witness and participate in thrilling activities.

However, this time it's something special, as IISM Gulmarg is offering a 14-day water skiing course, which is designed to teach you all the essential things of water skiing. After the completion of two weeks courses, applicants will be awarded a certificate.

Tehri Lake Water Skiing Course Schedule 2025-26

The institute will organise three batches for water skiing, consecutively. The first batch of the course is to begin on September 8, 2025. Each batch of the course will last for 14 days. Further details of the courses are mentioned in the table given here.

Eligibility Criteria

Apart from the age, the institute has not shared any specific criteria for the water skiing course.
However, good physical condition is a must to participate in the course.
As per the details, applicants in the age group of 18 to 40 years can apply for the IISM Water Skiing Course in Tehri Lake.

Course Fee Details

The IISM Water Skiing Course fee is Rs 8,000 per course.
The fee can be paid online after registration.
Applicants must complete their payment within 24 hours of their registration.
The fees, once submitted, are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Note: The course fee includes boarding, lodging, training and equipment.

Registration for the IISM Water Skiing course will be made online.
For this, visit the IISM Gulmarg official website, i.e. www.iismgulmarg.in
Click on the Apply Admission tab.
Read the instruction and verify your mobile number.
A list of courses appears on the screen.
Read and accept the terms and conditions box and proceed.
Choose the course and level from the list. Post selection, the available seats and fee details of the course will appear.
Enter your basic details and upload proof of birth.
Share your address details.
Select the qualification and upload its relevant documents.
Share identification details, and upload a photo and signature in the respective boxes.
Provide the emergency contact details (and upload the parents'/guardian's signature if the applicant is a minor).
Tick the declaration box and submit the application form.
Pay the fee through the available payment options.
Upon successful payment, you will be notified through SMS at your registered mobile number.
