The sacred Char Dham Yatra of Uttarakhand is set to begin from 19 April 2026. However, the sacred Sikh shrine Shri Hemkund Sahib Ji will open to devotees later. Dedicated to the tenth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, it is one of the holiest Sikh shrines situated in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. It is among the highest Gurudwaras in the world, which is located at an elevation of 4,329 metres above sea level. To seek the blessings of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, a large number of devotees visit the shrine every year.
 

The portal of this revered shrine remains open to devotees for only six months. In 2026, the pious yatra of Shri Hemkund will begin soon. However, to visit the shrine, Sikh pilgrims must register themselves online under the Char Dham Yatra portal. Registration for the Sri Hemkunt Sahib Gurudwara visit is the same as the Chardham Yatra Registration. Through the Tourist Care Website of the Uttarakhand Government, devotees can register themselves before their visit.

Devotees can register themselves for the Shri Hemkund Sahib Yatra 2026 online, offline or through a dedicated mobile application. The online registration facility will be available from the "Tourist Care Uttarakhand" official portal. Apart from this, offline Char Dham Yatra registration is also available at dedicated places, including Rishikesh, Haridwar, and Dehradun. The online registration for Shri Hemkund Sahib Ji can also be completed from the official mobile application, available for both Android and iOS Devices.

How to Register for Sri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara Yatra through Tourist Care Uttarakhand Website

• Official Website of Uttarakhand Tourism Care will provide the facility to register for the Sri Hemkund Sahib Yatra.
• Open the Uttarakhand Tourism Care Website and Click on Register Here.
  
• Indian Pilgrims and Foreign Pilgrims both can register to visit Sri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara.
• For Indian Pilgrims, there are 3 categories under which you can complete your registration.
• First is for Tour Operators, Second is for a Single/ Individual Person, and Third is for a Family.
• Devotees will have to select their category accordingly.
  
• After that, enter your name, Mobile Number, and Choose Password.
• The Website will verify the Mobile Number through OTP authentication.

• The tour plan will be made by a devotee for the Sri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara visit.
• Select Tour Duration first, in which the devotee will have to mention the Start Date of Tour, End Date of Tour and Number of Devotees/ People Travelling.
• Click on the Availability Button after filling in all the details to check the available dates for the visit.
