How to Register for Chardham Yatra

Chardham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage where millions of people visit every year. Chardham consists of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri and Gangotri. Now, to visit one of these or all the Chardham in Uttarakhand, registration is a must. The Uttarakhand Government has an official Tourist Care Website from which any devotee can register themselves to visit Chardham. 
 

Apart from that, Devotees can also register themselves for Chardham Yatra through the Mobile Application of Tourist Care Uttarakhand, which is available for both Android and IOS Devices. 
 

In case you missed the Online Char Dham Registration, the facility of on-the-spot Physical Registration for Chardham Yatra is also available at dedicated registration points. This on-the-spot online registration for Char Dham can be done at least 48 hours before Darhan at Dham. 
 

An on-the-spot registration facility is available at Rishikesh, Haridwar, Vikasnagar (Herbertpur, Nayagaon) from April 28, 2025, onwards. The Aadhaar-based registration is mandatory for all, and the Darshan facility will only be provided on the date for which registration is made. For a group registration of 25 or more, do contact officials at 1364.
 

Important Update for Char Dham Heli Services: Devotees who wish to travel to Kedarnath Temple and Shri Hemkund Sahib by helicopter are informed that the government has suspended these services due to bad weather until further notice. As a result, the heli ticket booking services for the Char Dham Yatra are also suspended. Once the services resume, we will update the information here.

How to Register for Chardham Yatra through Tourist Care Uttarakhand Website

• Registration for Chardham Yatra will only be done through Official Website of Uttarakhand Tourism Care.
• Visit the Uttarakhand Tourism Care Website and Click on Register Here.
  
• Both Indian Pilgrims and Foreign Pilgrims can register for the Chardham Yatra to visit Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri.
• Now, for Indian Pilgrims, there will be 3 categories in which registration is done.
• First Category is for Tour Operators, Second Category is for Individual Persons, and Third Category is for Families.
• Select the category accordingly.
  
• Enter Name, Mobile Number, and Choose Password.
• Mobile Number will be verified by Portal through OTP authentication.
• After Registration, log in to your account with your Mobile Number and Chosen Password to fill the Chardham Yatra Registration Form.
  
• It is advisable to Read Official Step Wise Registration Process of Chardham Yatra.

Step by Step Guide about Uttarakhand Chardham Yatra Registration through Website

• After Login, a Dashboard will appear in which the devotee will have to select "Registration for Tour".
  
• Devotee will have to Plan a Tour of Chardham on the Uttarakhand Tourist Care Official Website.
• First field is SelectTour Duration, in which devotee will have to enter the Tour Start Date, Tour End Date and Number of Tourists/ People Travelling.
• After filling these details, a Check Availability Button will appear, which shows the Dham Name and available dates.
• Devotee can choose their Chardham Yatra Tour Dates according to availability.
• Chardham Yatra Tour Duration will not be more than 15 Days.
• Then Devotee will have to select the Mode of Travel to Dham.
• The available modes to reach Chardham are :- By Road, By Helicopter and By Walking.
• If Devotee choose by Road then only below mentioned type of transportation are available :-
  • Bus/ Mini Bus.
  • Private Car.
  • Taxi/ Maxi.
  • Two-Wheeler.
• Mentioning the Name of Driver and Number of Vehicle is mandatory.
• Then Devotee will have to fill the Date Wise Destination Details of Chardham.
• Click on Create Tour after finishing all the details.
• Then Devotee will have to fill the Aadhar Number which will be verified by portal through OTP.

• Mobile Application of Tourist Care Uttarakhand is available on Google Play for Android Devices and on App Store for IOS Devices.
• Devotees directly download the Mobile App through below mentioned links :-

• After downloading the Mobile App, Choose Register for Yatra.
  
• Then Click on Register Yourself Here.
  
• Enter Name, Mobile Number, Choose Password and Click on Submit.
  
• Login with the help of Registered Mobile Number and Chosen Password.
  
• Click on Create/ Manage Tour Plan.
  
• Enter Start Date, End Date, Number of Tourist, Mode of Travel and Date Wise Destination Details.
  
• After that, enter your Aadhaar Number, which can be verified through OTP.
  
• Thereafter, Enter Pilgrim's Personal Details, Emergency Contact Details, Medical Condition, Pilgrim Vehicle Details, Upload Pilgrim's Details, Check on Self Declaration and Click on Save.
  
• Download Registration Letter by Clicking on Manage Tour Info. Devotees can also check nearby attractions, nearby services, timing and route map of Dhams and can also submit feedback/ grievance regarding Chardham Yatra on Mobile App.
  
• Through Uttarakhand Tourist Care Mobile App, Devotees can also Book Homestay and Helicopter Service.
  

How to Register Offline for Chardham Yatra

• Registration is must for every devotee to travel to any Chardham Shrine.
• If any devotee has not done their registration through the Official Website or through the Mobile App, then they can also register their travel physically.
• Government of Uttarakhand provides the Facility to Register for Chardham Yatra physically on dedicated Registration Points.
• For 2025 Chardham Yatra, the Physical Registration Points are Transit Camp in Rishikesh and Rahi Hotel in Haridwar.
• Government of Uttarakhand also sets the registration centres at various entry points of Uttarakhand so that devotees can register themselves for Chardham Yatra for the year 2025 at the time of entering in Uttarakhand.

• After registration, a Chardham Yatra Registration Letter will be issued to Devotees.
• Registration Letter has unique QR Code for each individual pilgrim.
• This QR code based Chardham Yatra Registration Letter will be verified at the time of Chardham Yatra.
• It is advisable to carry this Registration Certificate with you all the time.
• To download Registration Certificate, Click on Download Registration Letter and Certificate.
  
• Devotee has to Login in to his account and Go to Manage Pilgrim/ Tourist.
• Select the Tour and Click on Download PDF.
• Take a printout of it and carry it with you during your visit to Chardham.

How to Download Chardham Yatra Darshan Certificate

• Yata Darshan Certificate is very important document which will be mandatorily required at Dham during visit.
• Yatra Darshan Certificate has Photo of Pilgrim, Name of Devotee, Unique Code and Name of Dham.
• Go to Dashboard and Click on Yatri Certificate.
• Enter Registration Number of Chardham Yatra and Registration Number.
• Fill the captcha and click on Submit button.
• Chardham Yatra Darshan Certificate will be downloaded afterwards.

Things to Carry during Chardham Yatra

• Devotees will have to carry always with them the below mentioned mandatory things and items for their safe travel :-
  • Chardham Yatra Registration Letter or Registration Confirmation SMS.
  • Valid Personal ID Proof of all Devotees.
  • Warm Clothes like Shawl, Jacket, Gloves, Comfortable Shoes.
  • Umbrella or Raincoat.
  • Necessary Medicine.
