Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 Registration Process

Shri Amarnath Ji's holy cave is a sacred pilgrimage site in Hinduism. Every year, lakhs of devotees visit the cave, where a naturally formed ice Shivling is worshipped as a devotion to Lord Shiva.

The Yatra of Shri Amarnathji usually starts from July to August every year. For the year 2025, the yatra start date is the 3^rd of July 2025, and the end date of yatra is 9^th of August 2025.

Advance Registration is must to visit Shri Amarnath Holy Cave, and no devotees will be allowed to visit the holy cave without registration and a valid RFID Card. 10,000 Yatris per day per route will visit the holy cave.

How to Register for Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025

• Devotees who are willing and interested in visiting Shri Amarnathji Cave in the year 2025 will have to register for their yatra. No devotees will be allowed to travel and visit Shri Amarnathji Cave without a valid yatra permit. Interested Devotees can register themselves for Shri Amarnathji Yatra through the following ways :-
  • Through Official Website of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board.
  • Through Offline Registration Form by Visiting Designated Bank Branches.
  • Through Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board Official Mobile Application.

Shri Amarnathji Yatra Registration through the Official Website

• Devotees can get a yatra permit to visit Shri Amarnathiji Cave by apply online through Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board Official Website.
• Advance Registration for Shri Amarnathji Yatra is started from 14^th of April 2025.
• Visit the Official Website and Click on Online Services.
  
• Click on Yatra Permit Registration.
  
• No person below the age of 13 years, above 70 years and women with six weeks pregnancy are eligible to register for Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
• Read the instructions carefully and click on Register.
• Devotees can use their 1 mobile number to register up to 4 applicants.
• Choose Shri Amarnathji Yatra Route from Baltal and Pahalgam, Select the Date of Yatra and Click on Check Availability.
  
• Enter the below mentioned Yatri Details in the registration form :-
  
• Fill the medical details and upload photograph and Compulsory Health Certificate in pdf format :-
  
• Check the filled details and click on the Submit Button to submit the Shri Amarnathji Yatra Yatri Registration Form.
• An Application Number will be sent to the email of the devotee.
• Devotee will have to pay the application fees of Rs. 250/-.
• Visit the Online Services again and click on Make Payment/ Download Permit.
• Enter Yatri Application Number and Mobile Number, and Click on Make Payment and Download Permit.
• Yatri will Download Shri Amarnathji Yatra Permit after successful payment of the application fees.
  
• Yatris can also track their Application Status of Shri Amarnath Yatra Registration through their Application Number.
  
• Permit, Medical Certificate, RFID Card and Identity Card will be mandatorily required during the yatra.
• Collect your RFID Card from any centres in the Jammu/ Kashmir Division.

Through Offline Application Form by Visiting Bank Branches

• Devotees can also register themselves to get yatra permit to visit the holy cave of Shri Amarnathji in Jammu and Kashmir through Offline Registration Form.
• Shri Amarnathji Yatra Offline Yatri Registration Form for the year 2025 is available in 533 Bank Branches of PNB (309), JK Bank (91), YES Bank (34) and SBI (99) across India.
• Registration will be done as first-come, first-served basis and each bank branch has its fix per day per route quota.
• Yatri/ Devotee will have to visit the designated bank branch and contact the bank branch officials.
• Officials of Banks will provide the Registration Form of Shri Amarnathji Yatra 2025 to yatri which will have to be filled correctly.
• It is mandatory to submit a Compulsory Health Certificate with the Registration Form.
• Bank Officials will register the yatri through Aadhar-based biometric eKYC authentication and generate the Yatra Permit online.
• The offline registration for the Yatri Permit of Shri Amarnathji Yatra at banks will stop 7 days before the yatra begins.
• Compulsory Health Certificate should be issued on or after 08-04-2025.
• Yatri will have to pay the registration fees of Rs. 150/-.

Through the Mobile Application of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board

• Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board also provide the facility to apply for a yatri permit for Shri Amarnathji Yatra through Official Mobile Application.
  
• Download the Shri Amarnathji Official Mobile Application and Click on Register Now.
  
• Enter the Yatra and Yatri Details.
• Upload Photograph and Compulsory Medical Certificate.
• Check the details and Submit the Form.
• Pay the Application Fees and Download the Yatri Permit.

Shri Amarnathji Yatra Routes

• Devotees can travel and visit the holy cave of Shri Amarnathji through two routes.
• One route is via Pahalgam and second one is via Baltal.

Shri Amarnathji Yatra Route via Pahalgam

• Jammu to Pahalgam :-
  • This route starts from Jammu and the distance from Jammu to Pahalgam is 315 Km, which is easily covered by Taxi or Bus.
  • Taxi and Bus are available at Tourist Reception Centre of the Jammu and Kashmir Government, situated at Raghunath Bazaar only early in the morning.
  • Devotees can also opt for another option by reaching Srinagar by air and then proceeding further to Pahalgam by Road.
• Pahalgam :-
  • Pahalgam is situated just 96 Kms from Srinagar.
  • The distance of Shri Amarnathji Holy Cave is 32 Km from Pahalgam.
  • Non-government organisations also arranged free langars (food kiosks) at Nunwari Yatri Camp.
• Chandanwari :-
  • Chandanwari is 16 Km from Pahalgam.
  • Devotees can reach there by taking Mini Buses.
  • Langars are also available which offers free food to yatris.
• Pissu Top :-
  • From Chandanwari, Yatris will then climbs the height to reach Pissu Top.
  • The first darshan of Bhole Nath Shivshankar said to be seen from here.
• Sheshnag :-
  • Sheshnag is mountain which has seven peaks.
  • This is the second night camp of Shri Amarnathji Yatra.
• Panchtarni :-
  • Yatri will then reach Panchtarni which is situated at a height of 3,657 mtrs.
  • It is recommended for Yatris to carry woollen clothes and Vaseline.
  • Deficiency of Oxygen can also be feel from there onwards.
  • Panchtarni is a 3rd night camp during the yatra.
• The Holy Cave of Shri Amarnathji :-
  • Yatri can witness the Sangam of Amravati and Panjtari Rivers during their way to holy cave.
  • There are tw small shivlings in which one of of Maa Parvati and other is of Shri Ganesh Ji.
  • It is to be noted that yatri will have to return back to Panchtarni on the same day of darshan.

Shri Amarnathji Yatra Route via Baltal

• Jammu to Baltal :-
  • Baltal is 400 Kms away from Jammu.
  • The distance can be covered through Taxis or Buses which is available at Tourist Reception Centre at Raghunath Bazaar.
  • The Road Route from Jammu to Baltal follows as :- Jammu→Udhampur→Kud→Patnitop→Ramban→Banihal→KaziGund→Anantnag→Srinagar→Sonamarg→Baltal.
  • Yatris can also directly fly to Srinagar and then take a route to Baltal via road.
• Baltal to Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath Ji :-
  • Shri Amarnathji Holy Cave is just 14 Kms from Baltal.
  • Yatri can cover this 14 Km distance by foot or ponies.
  • Dandies facility from handicapped and old age yatris is also available.
  • Yatris will have to return to Baltal on the same day after darshan.

Shri Amarnathji Yatra Helicopter Booking Process

• Yatris can also avail the facility of a Helicopter ride to visit Shri Amarnathji Holy Cave.
• Helicopter Service is provided by private operators.
• Routes and rates of Helicopter Service will be approved by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. (SASB)
• Helicopter Ticket Booking for Shri Amarnathji Yatra can booked through the Official Website and through agents also.
• There are three helicopter routes available through which yatri can reach Shri Amarnath Ji Holy Cave.
• First one is Baltal Route (Neelgrath-Panjtarni-Neelgrath). Helicopter Service providers are Global Vectra Helicorp Limited and Consortium of M/S Arrow Air Craft Pvt. Ltd. Helicopter prices are not available right now.
• Second route is Pahalgam Route (Pahalgam-Panjtarni-Pahalgam). Helicopter Service Provided is Thumby Aviation Private Limited.
• And the third helicopter route is Srinagar-Neelgrath-Srinagar). Global Vectra Helicorp Limited is providing helicopter service on this route.
• The online booking for helicopter service to Shri Amarnath Holy Cave will going to be start soon.

Facilities/ Services Provided during Yatra

• Accidental Death Insurance of Rs. 5,00,000/- per person.
• Tented Accommodation on rental basis. Rent of Tent vary from Rs. 500/- to Rs. 800/- per bed for maximum 24 hours.
• Langar in which free of cost food will be provided to yatris.
• Medical Facilities will be provided with assistance from NGOs, Indian Army and CAPFs.
• Cloak Room.
• Parking Facility at Baltal on rental basis.
• Telecom Services is also provided but Yatris will have to purchase it from dedicated locations.
• Pony/ Pithu/ Palki services are also available on rental basis.

Do's for the Yatris

• Strong Physcial Fitness is required.
• Try to walk 4 to 5 km per day at least one month before the Yatra.
• Do Deep Breathing Exercise and Yoga.
• Do Pranayam regularly for improving oxygen efficiency.
• Drink 5 litre or more water per day to combat dehydration.
• Do not Drink Alcohol or Caffeinated Drink.
• Do Not Smoke.
• Do not ignore the symptoms of High Altitude Sickness.
• Carry Identity Proof, Yatra Permit and RFID Card with you every time.
• Carry Umbrella, Wind Cheater, Raincoat and Waterproof Shoes.
