Day 1: Drive from Rishikesh to Lohajung

On the first day of the journey, you will enjoy the scenic view of the mountain that comes across with some popular locations such as Devprayag, Dhari Devi, Rudraprayag and Karnaprayag. By evening, you will reach the base camp of the journey.

You can either hire a taxi or use the public transportation service to get there. After reaching Lohajung, check into the accommodation and soak in the beautiful views of the surroundings.

Day 2: Trek from Lohajung to Didna Village

Officially, the second day marks the beginning of your trek, where you will trek to Didna Village. Today's trail will pass through dense forest. Post crossing the forest, you will reach the Neelganga River, whose loud gushing water sound seems like a natural melody.
 

Upon crossing the river, you have to ascend a steep climb that presents a tough challenge. After ascending this stretch, you will finally arrive at Didna Village. The village is dotted with traditional homes, where you can have a close glimpse into the village lifestyle.
 

Today's overnight stay will be at cosy homestays, where you can enjoy the authentic Garhwali cuisine.

Day 3: Trek from Didna to Khobal Tal (via Ali Bugyal)

After saying goodbye to Didna village, you begin your journey towards today's campsite, i.e. Khobal Tal. The route will pass through the vast meadows of Ali Bugyal, for which the region is renowned.
 

After enjoying the morning views of Didna Village and having a sumptuous breakfast, move to the next location. The path will go through the serene forest where you can easily hear various noises clearly. Moving forward, you will pass by Tolpani, where you can refill your water bottle. After giving a short rest to the shivering leg's move forward as the trail will slowly open into an expansive meadow of Ali Bugyal.

Walking along the mountain ridge, you will be greeted by the lush green views that, in winter, transform into a white blanket of snow. From here, you can also witness the majestic Mrigthunu and Trishul peaks.
 

As you enjoy the view and capture the moments, continue on your trail towards Khobar Tal. After a while, you will finally arrive at Khobar Tal campsite, which is a perfect spot for an overnight stay.
 

At night, the starry sky gives a breathtaking view, which creates an unforgettable experience.

Day 4: Trek from Khobal Tal to Ghairoli Patal (Via Bedni Bugyal)

Today, you will witness the grandeur of Bedni Bugyal. After having tea and breakfast, move forward towards today's destination, i.e. Ghairoli Patal.
 

After walking on a narrow trail for a while, it opens into the vast meadows of Bedni Bugyal. Bedni is situated at a higher altitude than Ali Bugyal, and its beauty is much more than what you experienced yesterday.

Along the way, you can also sight the stunning view of Chaukhamba, Nanda Ghunti, Neelkanth, and Trishul peaks in the background. Moving ahead, you will come across one of the sacred kunds, called "Bedni Kund".
 

This kund holds immense importance during the Nanda Devi Raj Jat Yatra, which occurs every 12 years. After soaking some time here, move forward to today's campsite. The trail descends steeply through dense forest and meadows, before we reach Ghairoli Patal.

Day 5: Trek from Ghairoli Pata to Wan, then drive to Lohajung

  • Trek Duration: 6 hours
  • Drive Distance: 16 km
  • Drive Time: 1 hour.

Today will mark the last day of your trek, where you will trek to Wan, followed by a drive to Lohajung base camp.
 

After having breakfast, start moving towards the Wan. Its trail once again crosses the Neelganga River. After crossing the river, the trail becomes slightly challenging as it comes with a gradual ascent.
 

Continue the trail, you can hike a short detour to Ran Ka Dhar, which is said to be another scenic spot in the region. After clicking a few more pictures, proceed to Wan, which marks the end of this beautiful journey.
 

Your trekking agency vehicle will be waiting here to take you back to Lohajung. Upon reaching, you can explore the nearby area one more time.

Day 6: Drive from Lohajung to Rishikesh
